HOT ROLLING SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCTS DOWN TO COILS
In the hot rolling mill, both traditional slabs from the walking-beam furnace and thin sheets from the tunnel furnace are laminated in mixed rolling with a variety of procedures: traditional ones are reduced with multiple passages through the reversing mill before entering the seven stand finishing mill, while the thin sheets, after a single reduction, go directly to the finishing mill.
